Threshold Options

On many old PVCu doors you were left with a large profile at the bottom which became a trip hazard.

Also people would stand on the plastic threshold and at best scratch them or at worst they would crack and break.

We can now incorporate a low aluminium threshold into the door this will avoid a trip hazard and looks neat.

The low aluminium threshold is also classed as a DDA threshold which is suitable for wheelchair access or situations where trip hazards must be avoided, for instance public buildings or care homes or just a home where an elderly person may live.

It is now building practice on new build that the front entrance door of a property be fitted with a low threshold under part M building regulations.
